I recently heard that Central Cee is going to perform in Central Park in 9 weeks! Not sure but the catch is that you don’t buy the ticket you have to ‘earn’ it by completing different community services… So I had to do whatever it takes to go there. After thinking it over, I’ve decided that I’m going to organize a clothing drive for the local homeless shelter.
What I thought about first is honestly giving back to my community which is important to me, and I think maybe. By collecting new and gently used clothing, coats, and other essentials, I can directly help the homeless men, women, and children in my city stay warm and comfortable.
I plan to spend at least 10 hours over the next week promoting the clothing drive, collecting donations, and delivering the items to the shelter. It will be a lot of work, but knowing that I’m making a real difference in people’s lives. You can find your local homeless shelter and learn how to host a clothing drive here: https://centralsoutherninteriorbc.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/ways-to-give/renew-crew/
Also, I would like to set a Food Bank with my community. This can help those out of our community get the healthy and fresh foods they need to stay healthy. We would do tasks like sorting, packing, and distributing food donations to those in need. The link would be: https://kamloopsfoodbank.org/ways-to-give/volunteer/
I can’t wait to sing and rap along to all of Central Cee’s hits under the stars in Central Park. Hopefully I earn my spot and get an amazing experience!
I think organizing a clothes drive is an excellent way to get a ticket to the GCF. I also think it is a great way to help people.
Great efforts Am!!!! You have engaged with a couple of local organizations to help with your work. Getting clothes and organizing food is a lot of work. Can you do both? You certainly will earn a ticket to your concert!
